No. We do not require adults to accompany children onto the FunSplash. We have life guards stationed throughout the park so as long as you and your child are comfortable, you are welcome to relax and watch from on the beach. We will also take down your cell phone number when younger children go out onto the FunSplash unaccompanied so we can call you if we can’t locate you in person.
No, you do not need to purchase a Splash Pass/wrist band.
Yes, everyone who would like to play on the FunSplash is required to wear a life jacket provided by us at no extra cost.
No, sorry you do need to wear a life jacket provided by us. This allows us to recognise you from a distance as a paid player. Our life jackets all have a number marked on them which enables us to log how many players are on the park. Our life jackets are top qualify and Transport Canada approved.
Yes, we have life guards stationed throughout the park and in a small Zodiak to be able to move around the far side!
Yes, it is. When you purchase a Splash Pass you’ll receive a wrist band which will allow you “come and go” access to the water park. It also includes the use of a life jacket however we ask that each time you come off the FunSplash that you return your life jacket so we can store it properly on our life jacket rack. When you’re ready to return to the water park, your wrist band grants you access and we will happily provide you with a life jacket again. The life jackets get really damaged if they are left lying around or even hung on tables and trees. We do not want to have to increase our prices due to frequently having to replace life jackets and we ask for your cooperation with this.
We except cash, debit and Visa/Master Card. No tap however.
We do not offer any family packs however our 3-day Pack and 5-day Pack are very popular with families! The 3-day Pack includes 3 Full Day Splash Passes and the 5 day-Pack includes 5 Full Day Splash Passes at better prices.
The passes included in these packs can be used in a couple of different ways – by 3/5 people all at once on one visit or only use only some of the Splash Passes the day of purchase and the rest on your next visit to the FunSplash. If used the day off, you’ll receive wristbands right away for those and for the passes for another day, we will provide you with Splash Pass cards to simply present at your next visit. These are like cash (don’t loose them) and also make great for gifts!
Yes! You will receive a wrist band and this will allow you to come and go. If the wrist band were to start breaking, we ask that you come to our kiosk tent before it completely falls off and we’ll happily replace it for you. We ask that you return the life jacket to us to hang up each time you come off the FunSplash as we do not like these lying around on the beach, grass and trees. If you can remember the number on your life jacket this will make it super easy for us to grab it for you again.
Is the 2 hour pass 2 consecutive hours or can you play for 1 hour and then take a break and come back later?
The 2 hour Splash Pass is for 2 consecutive hours. For example, if the wrist band is purchased at 11:15 and it will expire at 1:15. The time it expires will be written on your wrist band and life guards will sometimes ask to see your wrist band to confirm your end time.
We are open 7 days a week from 10am – 8pm from June 24 until September 2, 2019 weather permitting. (Please see weather policy) Splash Pass sales end at 7pm and we clear the sports park at 7:50 allowing you time to return to your vehicle as the conservation area also closes at 8pm.
At this point we do not offer any adult only times.
Weekdays are usually less busy than weekends but there is no one particular day that is always the least busy.
Yes, we do allow for upgrades as long as Full Day passes are still available for that day. The upgrade charge is $8 per player.
Yes, we do offer a 10% discount for groups of 10+ players. All Splash Passes would need to be purchased as one transaction for the discount to apply.
Yes, we do host exclusive events at the FunSplash where the park would be closed to the public and only open exclusively for your group. Please contact us at 905-807-8774 for details as this will be dependent on which day and time frame you’re interested in.
Yes, everyone needs to complete our waiver before accessing the FunSplash once per season. We keep them on file for one summer. You are welcome to complete the waiver here online before coming out to save yourself time at the beach. All minors under the age of 19 need a parent or legal guardian to complete the waiver for them.
The FunSplash Sports Park opens daily unless we forecast thundershowers and storms for more than half the day. We do remain open during brief showers and rain as players on the park are generally wet already and enjoy playing in the rain. If thundershowers are brief during the day, we evacuate the park for the duration of the storm and remain closed for 20 minutes after the last strike of lightening to ensure the storm has passed. When we reopen, we then offer extensions to anyone with a 2 hour pass.
If we are closed for the day, this information will be posted on our website and on our social media.
Do not worry and simply have fun! Our lifeguards and staff are always listening and observing the weather conditions. We watch for lightning and listen for thunder to observe how far away the weather cell is. If it is too close, we will close and evacuate the park immediately. Three blasts of the air horn signal the order to evacuate the water park. We find that a lot of times thunderstorms seem to pass just of the FunSplash.
The FunSplash remains open during rain as many players find that they are wet anyway and it’s a lot of fun to play in the rain!
The FunSplash is one of the largest water parks of its kind in all of Canada with a large player capacity as well. We strive to keep our line ups short and we work very hard to get you and your group out into the fun as fast as possible. However at times there may be a short wait to access the sports park. On weekends we are generally business, with a higher chance of line ups and on those days we often sell out of Full Day passes by early afternoon as well.
We do not offer any pre-booking except for larger groups of 10+. If you are with a larger group, please complete our booking form which provides us with a little more information so we can prepare for your groups arrival.
Yes, the FunSplash Sports Park has a capacity of well over 100 players at one time.
Our life jackets expand to a size XXXL Suggested spelling: xxx. It is mandatory for all players to wear a FunSplash life jacket.
Yes! When the obstacle course is wet it is very slippery.
Yes you can. We just ask that you swim out to the water park rather than wade as dirt from the lake bottom can collect in grooves on your shoes bringing dirt up onto the inflatable obstacle course.
No, you are not required to know how to swim as you will be wearing a life jacket, however you do need to be comfortable in deeper water and be able to kick your feet to be able to swim out to the FunSplash.
It really depends as the water depths vary a lot where the sports park is located. The deepest areas around the FunSplash are around 15 feet.
The Ice Tower and Action Tower are the tallest at 14 feet.
Absolutely not! You can start the obstacle course anyway where you like. There are various places throughout the park where you can step up onto the water park using the helpful steps that drop down into the water.
The FunSplash Sports Park is located in the Binbrook Conservation Area. There is an entrance fee for the conservation and these funds go towards the upkeep and maintenance of the conservation and other conservation efforts. Because the FunSplash is a separate business with a lease to operate in the Binbrook Conservation Area, there is no combined price. Please refer to the Binbrook Conservation Area website for their entrance fees. (include link https://npca.ca/parks/binbrook)

Yes, there is lots of parking available at the Binbrook Conservation Area at no extra cost.
Sorry, the ONLY time refunds are given is if we have to close the FunSplash for the rest of the day before half your time has expired. If we’re able to reopen later in the day, we will give you an extension on your 2 hour Splash Pass.
We do not offer any special prices in this case however if an individual requires a full time aid, we will provide the aid with a free pass to accompany the player.
No, they do not. However please don’t lose them as they cannot be replaced.
The FunSplash last day of the season is Labour Day Monday, September 2.
At times you will see closed signage at the beach and on line, but the FunSplash will remain open. This is because the signs and word “closed” is used when there is slightly elevated e coli concentrations and higher levels too. Here is a brief explanation of how the water testing is done.
Hamilton PHS monitors the safety of public beaches by collecting and testing the beach water for E. coli bacteria at least once per week during the swimming season, which typically begins after the Victoria Day long weekend in May and ends the last week of August. E. coli are naturally found in the intestines of humans and warm-blooded animals. The maximum acceptable concentration of E. coli at a beach is 200 E. coli colony-forming units (CFUs) per 100 ml of water ( MOHLTC, 2018). E. coli concentrations at or above this level could represent an increased risk of infection to swimmers.
When the geometric mean (GM) of E. coli concentrations is at or above 200 CFUs per 100 ml of water, warning signs are posted at the affected beach to advise potential bathers that the water may pose a health risk and the beach is deemed as unsafe for swimming. The beach will also be posted as unsafe for swimming if any single point a sample taken has a test result at or above 400 CFUs per 100 ml of water ( MOHLTC, 2018) when the geometric mean is at or greater than 100 CFUs.
The FunSplash Sports Park follows these same guidelines and if the test results are below 400 CFUs per 100 ml of water then we will remain open. We always recommend to take the safe precaution to not swallow the water and take a hot shower after playing in lake water.
This information was taken from – and more can be found at – Hamilton’s Beach Water Quality Website (www.hamilton.ca/beaches) and the Safe Water Information Line outgoing phone message (905-546-2189) as these reflect the current beach water quality status.
Yes you may but be aware that if it falls into the water, it will not be retrievable. Because of the bungies Suggested spelling: bunnies and tethers that anchor the water park, we do not allow any diving and it is also very difficult to see anything under the water.
